Philosophy

Commitment to Excellence

Bozorgi Law has been recognized for many years by our peers for its excellence in Litigation. We are included in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and Benchmark Litigation for our work in White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations. We pride ourselves in offering innovative and consistent quality representation to our clients. Every client of ours deals directly with the partners or counsel. By design, we do not take a high volume of cases, so we can give our cases our full and undivided attention. We take each case seriously, no matter how big or small.

We are dedicated to producing the highest quality of work product possible. We believe that work needs to be reviewed meticulously to ensure its accuracy and quality. We don’t rest until we are satisfied that we have produced the kind of work that we can be proud to put our name on.

When you hire us, you are hiring a team of lawyers. We believe that collaboration produces better representation and better results. As a result, the lawyers at Bozorgi Law routinely collaborate on our cases.

We also work closely with paralegals, investigators, experts, and outside counsel to expand our team when needed for cases, such as complex white collar or regulatory matters which are typically document intensive or for any matter that would benefit from the addition of highly skilled support staff and a larger team.

We pride ourselves on having the ability to jump into any matter at a moment’s notice and hit the ground running. This kind of responsiveness helps us reach our single-minded goal of achieving the best results possible for each and every client.

Technology & Resources

One of the ways we ensure that we continue to deliver excellence to our clients is by utilizing cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art resources to assist us in our representations. Our firm uses NetDocuments, a document management platform, as well as CaseMap trial prep software aimed at synthesizing and organizing voluminous evidence and documents. Our lawyers and paralegals are proficient in Relativity, e-discovery software used to review large document sets.

We work closely with outside e-discovery vendors to assist with retention and review of documents. When necessary, we have hired contract lawyers to assist in larger productions to limit the costs and time needed to fully review voluminous document sets.

We have a number of contract paralegals who work with the firm to assist in document review, including paralegals who speak Spanish when documents are in Spanish.

We also work closely with investigators locally and around the country to assist us in our cases.

We routinely utilize forensic accounting firms and other financial consulting experts when needed to assist us in understanding complex accounting and financial data.

Diversity

At Bozorgi Law, diversity is not simply an aspirational goal—it is one of the primary characteristics of our firm that sets us apart. The fact that we are an all-female team of lawyers in and of itself is unique, but we are a cross-section of people from different generations and backgrounds. Our lawyers have experience ranging from 7 years to over 40 years. Additionally, our lawyers and staff are from many different backgrounds, including Hispanic and LGBTQ. Having a team with varied backgrounds not only mirrors the diversity of our clients, but also ensures that we understand different perspectives and learn from each other’s diverse perspectives. We believe this better positions us to advocate for our clients and their unique perspectives and needs.

As a firm, we have committed to promoting women in the legal profession. Partner Susan Bozorgi started a blog in 2012, Women Criminal Defense Attorney Blog, to promote and highlight women working in the criminal defense field. The lawyers in the firm work together to contribute to the blog. Susan Bozorgi is also the Global Vice-Chair of the Women White Collar Criminal Defense Association and actively participates on their Executive and Administrative Committees. The other lawyers in the firm are also active in the association and participate on various committees. The lawyers in the firm are frequently asked to speak around the country on topics of diversity and inclusion.
