At Bozorgi Law, Cristina focuses on the representation of individuals and corporations in criminal, white collar, and SEC matters. She has worked on various federal fraud matters from inception through sentencing, represented witnesses under subpoena, litigated evidentiary matters and conducted depositions in state court, and represented multiple students in disciplinary cases, including Title IX matters. Cristina also facilitates expert witness testimony and manages productions and discovery for the firm.

Before joining Bozorgi Law, Cristina was a criminal defense attorney at The Bronx Defenders and represented clients from their first appearance through trial. She handled felony cases, ranging from attempted murder to fraud charges. She has conducted multiple jury trials and litigated evidentiary issues (DNA and suppression, for example) in pretrial motion practice. At The Bronx Defenders she also worked to effectuate change in the criminal justice system by testifying on behalf of The Bronx Defenders before New York City Council Committees.

Cristina received her J.D. from Cornell Law School and was an editor of the Cornell Law Review. Cristina also served on the executive board of the Latin American Law Students Association and defended clients accused of capital crimes in trial and appellate proceedings in the Capital Punishment Clinic. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Frank H.T. Rhodes Public Interest Law Fellowship. Cristina annually returns to Cornell Law School to speak regarding her work as a criminal defense attorney and law school fellow.

Cristina is a member of both the New York and Florida bars. She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as the Hispanic National Bar Association. While working at The Bronx Defenders, Cristina served in the community as a volunteer Attorney Mentor with Legal Outreach in their College Bound Program, a comprehensive law-related academic enrichment and support program for New York City youth in underserved communities. In her capacity as an Attorney Mentor, she served as an advisor to her student mentee, provided one-on-one support and assisted in their preparation for the program’s constitutional law debates.

During her undergraduate education at the University of Miami, Cristina served as a Teaching Fellow through Breakthrough Miami, teaching students from under-resourced communities. She also served as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem. Cristina is fluent in Spanish.
